About Kate

Kate works from a Transactional Analysis modality, an approach she chose because it reflects something she genuinely believes: that people have the capacity to change and grow, and that understanding ourselves more clearly opens up real choices about how we live.

That conviction runs through how she works with clients and how she approaches the teaching room. She is interested in creating the conditions in which people can genuinely explore, without judgment, without pressure, and at a pace that is right for them.

Outside of work, she is kept busy running around after a young family and treasures a rare quiet moment with a book.

Background

Kate spent over a decade running her own marketing consultancy, working alongside small and medium-sized businesses. Before that she held marketing and brand roles in corporate settings, and throughout her career she designed and delivered training in professional environments.

Her route into counselling began long before her formal training. A desire to do this work took root in her teens, watching friends struggle with trauma and not knowing how to help. Her own experience of counselling in her twenties showed her what that help could look like, and the idea stayed with her.

Teaching

Kate joins The Counsellor’s Path team as a Level 2 tutor, currently working towards her Level 3 Award in Education and Training. She brings a background in professional training alongside the experience of having recently completed the CPCAB qualification pathway herself, so she knows from the inside what it feels like to begin.

Counselling Experience

Kate works with adults across a wide range of presenting issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, and the challenges of parenthood and family life. She has worked in an agency setting since 2024 and is currently establishing her private practice in Hampshire.

She holds specialist certifications as a Rainbow Baby Specialist and Infertility Specialist through the Infant Loss Foundation, and has a particular commitment to clients navigating pregnancy loss, infertility, and the perinatal period.
